STORY BEHIND THE MYSTERY
IMAGINATION WAS NOT
AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE.
IT BECAME A WAY TO BUILD ONE.
Long before Madame Mystery existed, Victor Le’Yon was a young person using imagination to survive circumstances he did not yet have the power to change. Growing up through childhood adversity, Victor discovered that performance could offer more than temporary escape. Magic created possibility. Music gave emotion a voice. Comedy created connection. Female impersonation made reinvention visible.
In his early twenties, Victor had created a semi-professional career perfecting these skills and forging a new life for himself. In 2018, he shared that journey for the first time in a breakout TEDxYouth talk. He has since spent more than a decade turning those ideas into a professional career spanning magic, live vocals, hypnosis, speaking, cabaret, cruise ships, colleges, festivals, casinos, international engagements, and national campaigns for Google Fiber.
Madame Mystery is not separate from that story.
She is living evidence of its central message: imagination cannot change everything that happened to us, but it can help us decide what we create from it.
STORIES WITH SOMETHING TO SAY
SIGNATURE KEYNOTES
Keynote 1: MY Mysterious Life
How imagination turns survival into creation
Victor shares how magic, music, drag, and storytelling helped him move through childhood adversity and construct a life larger than the circumstances into which he was born.
This is not a story about pretending pain never happened. It is about refusing to let pain become the sole author of what happens next.
Keynote 2: The Power of Reinvention
You are allowed to become someone your past could not predict
Through the evolution from Victor Le’Yon to Miss Uchawi and ultimately Madame Mystery, this keynote explores the courage, discomfort, and discipline required to outgrow an identity that once helped you survive.
Reinvention is not simply changing a name, costume, career, or brand. It is deciding which parts of your story should continue, and which parts have completed their purpose.
Keynote 3: The Business of Becoming Unforgettable
Building one powerful character from many different talents
Madame Mystery is not a collection of unrelated skills. She is a complete entertainment brand built from live vocals, magic, hypnosis, comedy, tarot, speaking, and theatrical storytelling.
This keynote examines how artists and unconventional professionals can combine seemingly disconnected abilities into a clear identity, recognizable experience, and sustainable business.
Keynote 4: HOW to Believe in Wonder AGAIN
Why adults still need mystery, imagination, and possibility
A theatrical keynote exploring the difference between tricks and genuine wonder, and why mystery remains emotionally necessary in an increasingly explained, distracted, and cynical world.
Through storytelling, magic, music, and audience participation, Madame Mystery invites audiences to consider what happens when we stop treating wonder as something childish.
